Kids, work obligations, involvement in other organizations, traffic...these are some of the barriers that prevent us from coming to meetings and participating in other NAASC events. Sometimes life has a way of getting in between us and our good intentions. But in order for the chapter to continue making an impact on the lives of other young women, we need a membership committed keeping "standards and honor raised."
There are three ways you can help:
Become a "scene setter," by helping out behind the scenes. Alumnae can help by assisting on various committees, projects, or by simply being a member. Some of the activities that are awaiting alumnae participation: Freshwomen Welcome; Annual Scholarship Brunch & Fashion Show; Holiday Party in conjunction with the Metro Atlanta Morehouse Alumni Association; 3rd Annual Spring Tea; and other community service activities. Your input and participation will help to make each of these events wonderful.
Become a dues paying member. Annual membership dues allow the chapter to plan and execute our signature Fall Scholarship Brunch.
Sell tickets to events. Our fundraisers allow us to provide our annual scholarship(s), in addition to provide support to those students who may need our assistance throughout the year.
